A film about the creative life - specifically, what it looks like to balance filmmaking and music at the same time. Google’s Pixel Slate became the connective tissue between those two worlds, and the film became a rare opportunity to make something that was both brand content and genuine self-expression.

Directed, shot, and composed independently. The concept was meta by design: documenting the process of organizing a film production while simultaneously making the music that would score it. The film ends with the finished song playing out, performed live on camera. Director, editor, composer, and performer in one frame.

The challenge was making a brand film that didn’t feel like one. By making the subject genuinely personal - the real tension between filmmaking and music - the Google product became a natural part of the story rather than the point of it. The result was something rare: a piece of brand content that also functioned as a genuine short film.
