Memories in Motion is a cinematic album about the things that survive change. Five chapters. Five songs. Five films. Built as one connected world shaped by time, identity, loss, and what we carry forward when everything else falls away. Each chapter exists as both a song and a film - a piece of a larger emotional arc revealed slowly, the way real memory actually returns. It is the most complete expression of a single idea I’ve spent my entire career circling: that nothing truly loved is ever lost.

Written, produced, directed, and built independently, Memories in Motion brings together original music, chapter films, artwork, typography, symbols, and release architecture into one connected world. The goal was never to make a collection of singles. The goal was to build a world where every song, image, symbol, and release decision felt like part of the same emotional system. This is not a pivot from film into music. It is the same cinematic language operating across two mediums simultaneously - the way it was always meant to.

I’ve played guitar and piano since I was a kid. Music was one of my first dreams - the one I had at the end of high school, the one I quietly punted when I went to film school and started building a career in image. Every few years, the dream would surface again. And every time, I’d find a reason to push it off. Commercial momentum. The film about my grandfather. The next big shoot. By the time I came up for air in my early thirties, I understood something I hadn’t before: there are very few windows in a life where you get to bet on something this ambitious. A family is somewhere ahead of me. Reputation is something you can build a career protecting instead of expanding. The window for unprotected creative risk closes faster than anyone tells you it will. So I bet on it. Two years. No posts, no progress updates, no public process. I needed the room to make this without performing it - without external pressure shaping a thing that needed to be shaped only by what it wanted to become. Songs, visuals, story, and identity were developed together so that when it finally arrived, it would arrive whole. Starting over at zero in your thirties is daunting in a way I won’t pretend it wasn’t. But some things have to be expressed, regardless of timing, regardless of cost. This is one of them.

The first chapter begins in 2026. Until then, the project is being revealed intentionally - through a private newsletter, cinematic chapter releases, and a rollout designed to let the work speak before it is explained. The album is a beginning. A live event in October is a proof of concept for the larger ambition behind all of this: cinematic live performance where film, sound, and storytelling become a single experience in a room. Whether anyone ever finds this work or not, it was always going to be made. That part was never in question.
